Hi, we are considering a childminder as opposed to nursery in the Sale area. Can anyone recommend one - we are too scared to just choose one from the internet! Our baby will be 11 months when they are required, Wed-Fri. Thanks.

Hi, I am a childminder who has a place. But if you want to look around then look in you local health centre, they will have a list of childminder co-ordinators, who have a list of all your local childminders with places.

Hi. I have booked a place for my 7 1/2 month son at a nursery for Sept but am having doubts - not sure if it just return to work jitters or the nursery v childminders quandry! I have decided at this late stage to exhaust all options and would like to look into childminders in the sale / ashton on mersey area (we have already visited nearly every nursery in the area). Have you heard anything about nurseries in Sale? Do you have vacancies for Tues / Wed from Sept? Can you recommend any childminders in the area other than going through health centre? I would love some recommendations as am great believer in word of mouth. I know we will know when we have found the right person / place and I just don' think we have found that yet! I hope someone can help shed some light on this for us.

Hi,
I do have a vacancy from september, also I can find you the number of your local co-ordinator.She has a list of all the childminders near to you who have vacancies. When you visit a childminder, ask if you can speak to any of the other parents for a reference.I am N.N.E.B qualified and I would not send my children to a nursery when they are so small.I worked in a few,and young babies and toddlers do have to vie for the nursery nurses attention because of the numbers of children in the group.A nursery is not a bad option when the child is two and a half and older.Everybody has their own oppinion, but make sure you choose a nursery where the staff are qualified, esp in a baby room.Staff at private day nurseries do not have to be qualified or have experience(staff are cheaper if unqualified)I don't want to worry you needlessly, but just trust your own judgement -mummy knows best

Hi thank you for your wise words - probably what I needed to hear. I would very much like to meet you to discuss this further and see if we can move this forwards one way or another! Not sure of the best way to go about this though. I live in Sale and work in Ashton on Mersey area so happy to meet anywhere around here. I look forward to hearing from you with suggestions of how best to go about this. Thank you for help so far.

Hi, I live in the ashton on mersey village area, but would rather talk to you on the phone before meeting (just to be safe) Hope that doesn't sound odd.

Hi - thats no problem at all - better to be safe than sorry. How do we go about this as obviously don't want to post my number of the site!? Can I get your number through Childrens Information Service or Health Clinic? Thanks for your quick response.
