Babysitting

I have a FT job I love but we are trying to save for a house and could do with every spare £1.

I’m a qualified teacher, a parent myself, have SEN experience. I have a DBS and paediatric first aid certificate.

What do you think is reasonable to charge in London for babysitting?

I was thinking £15/hour before 11.30pm, £20ph after 11.30pm. Does that sound reasonable?

Teens charge £13-14ph here as a benchmark.

Gross or net?

Allshadowlylined · 09/03/2025 02:29

I would pay that. Worth it for peace of mind.

Do you think there are no self employed babysitters, who pay tax?

Allshadowlylined · 09/03/2025 02:41
