Risk Assessments??

I am a CM and updating risk assessments for the new grading system which has just come in.

Just wondering how everyone else records the risk assessments. Do you do it on a form type sheet or do you do it as a written document with bullet points?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I do a written doc with section headings plus a sheet with a tick list

Hi - what new grading system is that?

To tell the truth I've not got any risk assessments - just consent forms etc. for trips, using play equipment.

I had my inspection Nov 07 and the inspector didn't ask to see any risk assessments. I think we're expected to do too much paperwork anyway what with all this EYFS coming in.

By the way I got a 'good'. Is this what you mean by the grading system - i.e. unsatisfatory, satisfactory, good, outstanding?

Thanks.

This is part of EYFS

Oh I just wondered what the first post meant by grading system?

KatyMac · 26/04/2008 19:28

It's new standards rather than guidance (but who can tell it's OFSTED after all )

KatyMac · 26/04/2008 19:46

I mean grading not guidance

I am in Scotland so we are only now having the grading system like you have in England and poss Wales?

We are graded from poor through to excellent.

More bloody paperwork and training outwith my normal working hours of 7am to 7pm. Oh well gotta be done i suppose.

Thanks KatyMac i will prob leave mine as they are for the moment and concentrate on parent and child questionaires.
