Yes, i think it was YOU Shosh!!!!!!!..i had put it off and put it off and you know when somethings hanging over you..so the last few nights ive totted everything up, all up to date and more or less ready!

it come to just over £15k from april to april, then i take 10 off wear and tear and it goes well below £15k so do i just need to do the quick form again?(BTW that figure is gross, i havent taken off things ive bought/spent on yet..it will take it well below a decent amount

the ONLY thing i havent done is TOT up expenditure, its all written down, just wanted to go abck through in my head and reciepts to make sure i havent missed anything..one thing i have lost reciept for was my flooring and fitting in kitchen(whihc has now had to be ripped up because of flood)..i only got floor fitted b'cos of floor tiles cracking and looking dangerous, even so i only put half of the cost down..so am an angel really

Do you do your tax return online? There's a question that asks if your TURNOVER is under £15,000. So thats the figure you've got now, before you take any expenses off. So like me, you can't tick that box this year.

But its not much different (unless I did mine all wrong lol) on the online form. I had to leave a lot of boxes blank as they were totally irrelevant. You now have to keep ALL your receipts instead of just putting estimates down for purchases under £10

If you do a paper return, you can ring up and they'll help you fill it in - haven't done this myself but am told they are very helpful.

ROSEgarden · 25/04/2008 16:12

Say what????..i haventkept 'all' reciepts for under £10 items!!..i was told not to bother!!>

Oh come and do mine now will you!! I think I might sit down tonight and start working on it actually!

And I haven't kept all receipts for under £10 as was told I did not need to.

This will be my first tax return so rather worried about it all to be honest!

shoshe · 25/04/2008 18:08
