Hello, doing a bit of research, is it easy to get part time nannies, we are in Staffordshire and would need Monday and Wednesday 10.30 to 7.15pm for joint/sole care of 6 year old and new born, completely new to this kind of childcare, what kind of rates to people charge and how easy is it to get part time care? Advice please.

Part-Time nannies do exist, and 2 full days may suit some nannies. However, the hours you want look a little unusual to me... consider rounding up to a nearest whole hour and if possible shift things so that it starts earlier. Just my view of course.
Rates, a live-out daily nanny will typically cost you £100-£150 per day, including taxes, national insurance and employers NI. On top of that there are some additional costs, such as outings, plus a little extra in food cost as you would be expected to feed nanny while on duty. Rates vary around the country, and will vary depending on what expectations you have regarding experience and qualifications. Best thing to do is to see if you can job hunt as if you were a nanny, looking at job listing websites, to see what other families are offering nannies in your area.

Thanks for that, I will put my "nanny" hat on and do a bit of hunting around in our area. Advice really appreciated.
