Nanny rate London

Currently searching for a new full time nanny as ours is relocating abroad but am having trouble determining the current market rate as getting wildly different requests depending on the candidate, anywhere between 45k to 72k gross! Has anyone hired a nanny in London recently and wouldn't mind sharing what you are paying per hour? It would be 50 hours a week, two kids (2.5 YO and 6 months). I'm not going through an agency this time after terrible experiences previously.

£45k seems at low end at £17g

£72k way too much

£18/20h is about average tho many will say earn more

Looking on nanny job, 50K gross for a normal nanny job (ie not odd hours/special language teaching, lots children, SEND) seems the most commonly quoted figure.

I was on 21 gross in my recent role although it was for 30/35 hours a week, i think it was on the higher end , judging by roles advertised by agencies i think the current rate is £18/20 gross/hr

I am a nanny in London currently job hunting and need £53500 a year to survive with being the sole rent payer etc! Some other nannies with the same experience and certifications as me demand significantly more and others lower their rates hugely to help them to find a job quicker! There is huge variation!
