Hi, so I'm due to return to work beginning of May and as a single parent on a very average wage I'm going to apply for help to pay for my child's daycare which comes in at £1000pcm. So as I will be paying for that out of my salary before I'm reimbursed, I'm just worried when they will reimburse me ? I will get paid last working day of the month £1500 after tax etc and I will get billed on the 20th of every month to be paid by the 1st . Does anyone have any idea how long I would have to live off £500 as will have to pay bills at of the month out of that as well. I have used up all of savings thanks to huge car bills/pet bills whilst being on maternity leave 😑 thanks all

I believe they add it on to your monthly payment, so it depends what day your UC goes in.

You can also apply for a flexible support fund payment for upfront childcare costs although I think this is at the discretion of your local job centre.
Mine were happy to do my first month and pay it directly to the childcare provider
