If the nursery closes will you collect the child? If so then I would charge

What about holidays - will they want a place then too?

i the same child will start in sept 3 mornings so i will have child 12.15 until 3.30pm
i will have child if nursery is closed but he is term time only
my only grude is that i will have to go out in all weathers at lunch time to get him

if the child is with you before(ie you take him) nursery and then you collect and bring back to your home then you charge for the time they drop off with you to the time they pick back up..you can charge 1/2 fee during hols if they dont come9school hols) or normal fee if the do come, bascially the charge for ull days means his place is guaranteed for times like that!

dmo · 28/03/2008 09:26

i wont be taking him just picking him up

nannynick · 28/03/2008 09:29

You would only be able to have the child during periods when the nursery is closed, if you have not filled that space with another child. By only paying for the afternoon, the parents risk that the morning space may get filled by another child. Does that makes sense?

dmo - i have still charged in that situation - as this is what the mum suggested and child was all year round - with another mindee ;mum takes to nursery but i pick-up - i only charge for hours i work as mum was a bit funny about having to pay{this means i lose out financially as it's very hard to fill that slot term-time only } - so i guess you have to try and get them to pay but be prepared for them not too!!
