The mother of the child I look after always turns up at different times to pick up her ds. for example arriving at 3.45 instead of 3.30 as agreed and when it comes to payment she wants to pay the exact fees ie up to 3.30 and says the other 15mins we shd just foget it. am new to childminding. pls help

Not unreasonable at all. If she does it all the time, then those 15mins are soon goig to add up. Do you bill her in arrears? You need to be firm with her and start getting her to pay you in advance and stress that collecting late, will incur a late payment fee.

she's at it

bet your not HER first childminder

look out for yourself, plenty of parents will take the piss

Too right she thinks you should forget the later 15 minutes - just as long as you can forget to look after her from 3.30pm and go out.

I bill her in arrears and when i calculated all those extra mins she wasnt too pleased.

you need to charge a punitive charge for every 15 minute block she is late on pick-up or amend contract with her

so tell her that from next week you are charging £10 for every 15 mins she is later than the agreed 3.30 pick-up, but if she would like to amend contract details to the time she feels comfortable with collection at current rates

YANBU - stop this now or she will forever be taking the p**s . tell her the late payment charges will be always be applied ..
