What age to stop using a childminder?

DS is nearly 10. He’s been going to a childminder 3-5.15pm once a week for the last year since I changed my work hours. I’m wondering now if he’s a little bored and would be better off at home. DH and I both WFH that day, so it would just be a case of my juggling my lunch break to collect him from school.
What do other people do at this age?

I have 2DC, slightly different circumstances but we stopped our nanny when our oldest went to secondary.
We would have stopped earlier but we had the younger DC.
Older child gets himself to and from school. The younger one uses after school club a couple of times per week

I wasn't able to do that personally as I have a lot of afternoon meetings, but if we lived closer I would let my oldest walk home. He also grew out of the childminder and I moved them both to the school after school club, which is more expensive but feels less babyish for him.

So age 10 is about the right time to move on?
He cycles, so I’d rather pick him up from school. After school club is a minimum 3 days a week and we only need that 1 day.
I rarely have meetings at all. I can plan my day so I do the work that requires more concentration in the morning.

My DD had grown out of childminder by time she got to Y6 but unfortunately I could not guarantee getting out every day. I was able to manage picking her up from school one day a week though, 2 days a week from Y4/5 her dad collected her and dropped her back home: she could keep herself occupied.
