Questions about childcare vouchers; accor: more than one childcarer

Have just discovered the DH work does these using Accor I think. Trying to get organised as I start a course on Monday and our childcare is going to go through the roof. We are currently looking at about £50 per week at after school club. However because they are not at school every week, we have to use a different provider, a holiday club during school holidays which is going to cost £300 per week.

I'm just wondering how these vouchers work. Do you get a voucher which you then complete for the childcarer, like a cheque book that you make out to whoever, or does it all just get put through to one scheme. I need to know because there is no point in claiming the full £55 per week if we cannot also use it for the holiday club, otherwise we would actually end up out of pocket.

Tried looking at the websites but it all seems very complicated. Thanks.

I do the books for a pre-school so I have handled the Accor vouchers.

Some people bring in physical vouchers which I redeem online. These are in varying denominations and I know at least one parent uses some with our pre-school and some with another.

Other parents do transfers direct from Accor and the money lands in the pre-school account. Again, I am certain they use it for other settings too.

HTH.

I'm a Registered Childminder, haven't used paper vouchers or Accor. But one parent uses another voucher provider to pay both the afterschool club and myself.

As I understand it, her employer pays the agreed amount into a virtual account from which the parent chooses how much to pay to which childcare provider. So from my pov it just appears in my bank account like a bank transfer except it says the voucher provider name instead of the parents name. The voucher provider sends an email with the details of the payment so I can match each payment to the right family.

So as long as all the childcare providers you use are willing to take the vouchers, you should be able to divide the payments up as appropriate.

Ours goes straight into the electronic accor account - I then log on and pay the childcare as required eg term of preschool etc
This goes straight to the preschool bank a/c

You have to check that your provider will accept them

Check that your provider accepts them first before your husband starts putting some of his salary into the scheme as I am not sure how easily you can get it back.

We use the electronic system like TheBlonde and it goes straight into the nursery account.

I am pretty certain you can pay multiple providers as long as they are registered with accor.

We have used a similar system to Accor in the past. Each childcare provider has their own ID. So register their ID onto you account and then I used to make payments online to the different places... All very simple.
