Will this course be accepted by Ofsted?

Hi, I have been trying to become a childminder through a childminder agency for 2 months to be told yesterday they aren't accepting anymore applicants after I've completed my training with them! So I am now looking at training course to set up through Ofsted, can anybody tell me if this course will be recognised and accepted by ofsted https://www.oplexcareers.com/course/home-based-childcare-course/ its a level 3 CPD accredited course.
I cannot seem to find any guidance on what they will accept other than it needs to cover the EYFS framework.
Thanks

Why isn't the agency taking on any more childminders? Seems crazy when there is a massive shortage in childcare 🤷🏻‍♀️

I did my home based childcare course with PACEY. Maybe speak with your local authority as they often have certain courses they recommend.

Sorry OP that course sounds like a total scam and "CPD accredited" is utterly meaningless that every non-college online throws around (along with claims that things are "level 2" or "level 3" when they're not mapped against the NQF at all) while trying to look legit. Go with something from PACEY or CACHE so you're properly trained.

Which was the agency? Is it the one that has just been given a ‘requires improvement’ after inspection?
It won’t feel like it now but honestly they’ve done you a favour - childminders work so hard for their cash you do not want to be giving 10-13% of your hard earned earnings away every month.

I would say your best bet is to email your local authority EY contact or just contact Ofsted directly and ask if the training you’ve already undertaken will be valid - their email is [email protected]

Sorry, I didn't realise I had a reply, it was with Koru Kids, they have also now made an announcement they're no longer doing childminders and any childminder with them will be de-registered.
I also tried to do it with Tiney, but due to an ex partner 4 years ago hitting me and I called the police and him never to be seen again they said it was too risky!!
I ended up doing my course through childminding.co.uk and they reassured me it was certified and accepted by ofsted.
The process is just taking so long.

Your local authority will probably run a suitable course, call them and ask.
