Hi Everyone,
Great to be on Mumsnet. My daughter and wife live in Singapore and Im based in London for work and studies. They will be visiting me in June for a month. Since we (wife and I) will be working those days, I planned to hire a part-time nanny to mind my daughter and keep her engaged. The nanny will take my daughter to the parks and the farm close by while we work from home.
I appreciate that nannies are great company for kids, and I am super respectful of the profession. However, ill intentions are a reality. I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any best practices to ensure that there is no room for mishaps by a nanny who does not mean well. I cannot be present with the nanny and my child all the time, so would I have to fully rely on trusting the nanny?
I live in Canary Wharf area in London which is not the safest. Any ideas/experiences would be highly appreciated.
