Does anyone have a triple tandem??

I am currently toying with the idea of applying for a variation (around april time), which would mean I had two one years olds and a six month old.

Main change would be I would need a triple pushchair, and it would need to be a tandem as my path, door and gate are very narrow.
Does anyone have one of these? Or can anyone recommend one?

My ds is three, that's why would need a variation.

Well I've been searching and so far, this is all I can find, but it is certainly not cheap

here

southernbelle77 · 18/02/2008 10:36

Or, could you use a normal tandam and attach this ?

southernbelle77 · 18/02/2008 10:39

another!

KaySamuels · 18/02/2008 10:40

Blimey SB! Can you believe people pay that for a pushchair!!

Have heard bad things about the buggypod on past threads, so am put off.

I know you can get clips to connect a single to a double but not sure if they only work on certain frames and models.

And this although can only find it in the US so probably not much use!

southernbelle77 · 18/02/2008 10:43

I know! But I guess if you triplets then maybe you need to? And I have found ones that are much more expensive too but decided not to post those!

southernbelle77 · 18/02/2008 10:43

Maybe you could use a sling for the baby until one of the others is old enough to use a buggyboard??

KaySamuels · 18/02/2008 10:45

I know I am currently searching too!
Shame marco sky don't do a triple I really want one of those!

Don't mind splashing out on one, tandems seem far more pricey than side by sides don't they! Wish I didn't have a daft winding path! Thanks for helping me, btw.

You're welcome! I'm rather loving looking at pushchairs (only doubles mind!) at the moment! Even got DH selling stuff on ebay so I can buy a new one, lol!

Hope you manage to get one a reasonable price! I wonder why the triple tandams are so much more than the side by sides as that isn't the case with doubles!

lisad123 · 18/02/2008 10:56

have you seen these, I think great

I wondow if I could get a marco sky and either a buggy pod (but dubious about them), or those connectors and put my maclaren volo on to it.

I like virtual window shopping too! Far less costly!

I have a side by side double now and it literally squeezes through my gate and path, and won't go through the door unfolded.!

They are so cool lisad123! Never seen them before - depends on width tho if I could have one.

Am going to try and find them now - hope they sell them in UK.

Not sure about a sling. Baby is one that likes to sit and play or lay in her pram, not a cuddly, fussy baby IYKWIM so not sure she would like a sling.

heres the details of the uk stockist www.abcbuggy.co.nz/outlets.html

JennaJ · 18/02/2008 12:16

I had a combi caterpillar tandem which had been customised with a 'silver cross' style pram seat acrss the middle. Was FAB..it was done in France and I beleive the clips had been altered a bit to make it fit the chassis but was amazing to use, so light and the 2rd seat detatched in a few secs to make a double.

The only restriction was that the back seat had to be laid almost flat or flat all of the time.

AMAZING BUGGY though.

KaySamuels · 18/02/2008 13:35

I looked on TAMBA but think you have to join to search boards? Will go have a quick peek!

Hi kay, i'm a cm and a total pushchairaholic! I mind 4 under two and a half. i have the abc buggy with a double toddler seat mentioned by kay and it's the best ever, goes through even internal doors and really easy to push, compact when folded (very heavy to lift in car though)It really has given me back my freedom to get out and about with mindees. It's expensive I know but have seen them sell on ebay years later and still go for £300 +
