Help! Childcare options needed?

Hi there

I am in a bit of a dilemma at the moment where I need to move from my parents, work 35 hours, and pay for the childcare needed to cover these hours.

From what I have researched, I would need to earn £30k to be considered for private renting - which I currently do not earn, the council is not offering anything suitable. My childcare options at present involve family members who may not be able to commit long term.

At present the option I see working might be to arrange for a child minder to cover 2- 3 days a week in combination with some family support.

Can anyone help with information on funding for childminders (my daughter is 17 months) and any charitable organisations that may support in housing options.

Any advice is welcomed,

Thank you

Are you a lone parent?

Go onto Entitled to. Put in the figures as if you were living alone and using childcare and your salary. Put in an average on rents for a 1/2 bed flat and an average of local CM/nursery costs.

This will then estimate any government support you would be able to benefit from in helping pay bills.

Do you claim CMS? If not, make that claim today.

You can claim up to 85% on UC pay upfront and claim it back ...in some cases a work coach can arrange a loan for the first payment. You can access with Childminders.
