Hello, I am looking for trusted childminder providers within Carshalton/Sutton area as of December/January. I would be very grateful for your recommendations. I need help with my 6 months old baby girl, once a week only, and I wonder if there is any minimum number of childcare hours I have to commit to. Alternatively, a nanny or babysitter would suit me too. I have to return to my training placement and I have a mountain of written work to complete, so the pressure is there. I would appreciate your advice!

Every childminder will have their own policy on this. I will take a on for a day but do more regular visits to settle in.

Hello, looking for some guidance as struggling to find any online. I have tested positive for covid, my nanny is off until Wednesday; if I’m still testing positive then can she still come to work? I’ll obviously be up front with her and if she feels uncomfortable completely get it but wasn’t sure where I stood legally on it?

many thanks

@sundayfarm2021 Nannies have worked throughout Covid restrictions. There was never anything saying that we could not go into a home where someone had a positive test result.

However, employers have a duty of care, so you should assess the risk and take infection control measures - such as good ventilation.

A nanny will come to your home and be employed but only be your child

a cm at her home and self employed but likely to have other children ,

a nanny is more costly then a cm

msybe put an ad on childcare site and see what happens

or ask on your local fb group
