Is there any chance of me finding temporary childcare to cover Easter (or part thereof)?

Well, that's it really!!

I usually split the holidays with family but I'm stuck over the two weeks at Easter. The children don't want to go to Barracudas or any other sort of playscheme (they have been before and weren't happy) and childminders around here are like gold dust (not that most of them seem to like temporary arrangements). I'm not sure what other kind of childcare exists!!

Any suggestions? I'm not talking about babies btw - my children are 10 and 8. All help gratefully received.

If you have the space for an au pair it might be worth looking for one for a month (some of them don't seem to want to stay long - I've lurked on greataupair.com but am not an expert). You won't need to pay tax/NI. but they wouldn't be able to cover a whole week so would need either short session at holiday club or au pair for some days and parents for others..not sure if you can count the hours over the month ie. au pair works full-time for 2 weeks but then has 2 weeks with no duties therefore average hours over the month being acceptable?

An Au Pair might work as I work from home some of the time. Honestly, it is so complicated!!!!
