Breastfeeds only at home

I have a 4 month old baby girl who only wants to breastfeed at home sidelying. I can't really go to the park or elsewhere and if we do go out I make sure she had a feed and the place is near so that I can go home immediately if needed. This makes me frustrated. I tried breasfeeding while covering her but it does not seem to work.

Any suggestions or similar experiences?

Yes!!! My first was like this! It was a right pain in the neck. I'd always make sure I'd do a good long feed before going out and I did have some success feeding in the car on occasion. Luckily friends and family were happy to let me use guest rooms for feeding when I was visiting. I started weaning at 5 and a half months and then at least I could give him solids and water when out. It passed after a couple of months and I continued to bf until he was 2, although generally I always fed at home from 1yo onwards anyway.

What’s this got to do with childcare OP?

Seriously? You can't see what breastfeeding has to do with childcare? 🙄

Have you tried feeding without covering them? I know it's probably for you to feel less exposed but perhaps in a little quiet area?

@belimoo this has nothing to do with childcare. Funnily enough as a nanny I have no need to breastfeed the children.

This section is for childcare questions : nannies, babysitting, au pair, childminders etc...

However, I understand people sometimes get muddled on this website. But I think there is a breastfeeding section.
