Will CM's/nurseries take children for occasional days?

I've possibly got a new job that will require working 3 hours a day, wed, thurs and fri. My dp works shifts so would require a CM/nursery for the days when he's at work, or on nights. Does anyone do this?

Also, how much can I expect to pay? Is there a big difference in price between CM and nurseries? Any advice would be welcome. My dd is 16months btw.

Thanks

I'm not sure about nurseries, but I don't think many of them will take a child on this basis.

Your best bet would be to ask around for childminders. I do this with one of my mindees at the moment and it's working out great. The only problem you may come across is, as your dd is young, she would potentially be taking up a full time space, but without the pay. It's just something to bare in mind when thinking about price.
