What does your say?

For some reason I didn't put one in my last nanny contract. But I think I'll put one of say 4 weeks into this contract.

Some sample wording would be much appreciated.

Your employment is subject to confirmation following completion of a satisfactory probation period of [4 weeks]. Notice required during this period is one week from either party. At the end of the probationary period your performance will be reviewed and providing that progress is satisfactory your employment will be made permanent [which will be confirmed in writing]. If the probationary period is extended this will be discussed between you and [the employer] and an extension date agreed.

Mine is the same except the probationary period is 2 months and I also have a bit that says "After the probationary period has been sucessfully completed, then notice to terminate is extended to one month on either side. This notice period is extended by one week for every calander year completed"
