So I've been given a document, with lots of questions on it that I need to respond to for AP's NVQ, and then discuss with her and her mentor.
They include
Do I learn things easily
Am I fulfilling your expectations
What do I need to improve
List Targets etc etc etc...
So should I be honest, bearing in mind she is hoping to Nanny when she starts Uni in Sept, sit somewhere in the middle or be kind and say everything is perfect?

Be constructive but honest, praise her good points & say why she needs to improve certain areas.

What DON'T you like?

What DO you like?

I'm sure some of us could give you some pointers on NVQ-speak if yoou like??!!

Thanks Bossy, I guess I'm worried that I might comment on something that is not necessary for her NVQ2 and worry her.

No I'm sure if you stick to amswering the questions on the sheet you'll be fine. Are you happy with her? If she's good then it might be worth her going straight to NVQ 3 as the 2 is very basic & a good grounding but is repeated a lot at level3. But if her written english isn't that good it's a great start.

Any not so good comments as long as they are put in a positive light are useful. For example is you find her a bit disorganised with kids activites but the chiildren have loads of fun try " X has some wonderfully creative ideas, which my children enjoy.Having a more formal structure in training will help her to maximise this natural ability in a different way!" IYSWIM!!
