Advice for settling in with childminder and school

My little girl starts school in September. She has been at full time pre-school for the last year, but will be starting with a new childminder before and after school (mon-friday) when she starts proper school in September. The childminder will do both pick ups and drop offs.

So she will be starting school and a new childminder at the same time. I will be doing lots of settling in sessions with the childminder over the summer holidays (pre school finishes in July) to hopefully get her comfortable with the childminders before the school term starts and she has to settle in at school.

Looking for any experiences of people who have managed the transition for both. School do half days for the first 2 weeks and childminder has said she can have her the other half of the day for these weeks, but I am wondering on the best way to transition this.

Her first day I'll be taking her but after this, do you think I am best to just get the childminder to pick up and drop off (and keep her for the afternoon for the first few weeks whilst she is on half days), or perhaps pick up her at lunchtime for the first few days myself and drop her off at the childminder so she sees me in between?

School says it's best just to rip the plaster off and start with their usual routine as soon as possible after the first day so she doesn't get used to me picking her up when I don't usually be able to but I'm not so sure.

For reference, I work full time, term time only (and need to unfortunately, single parent and no local family support) so any half/full days I take will come from annual leave, but obvs not an issue if it helps her settle in.

Personally I would do the first day of school then if settling with childminder has gone well hand it over. Over the years I've taken lots of children to reception classes without a problem but parents and grandparents have had issues.
