Au pairs post Brexit

We are thinking of getting an au pair but I’ve read that it’s much more difficult to find one now post Brexit. Is it still a practical option? We live in South Bucks so outside London but close for day trips, if that makes any difference.

To employ an aupair legally, she/he must have presettle or settle status. Therefore there's a shortage of candidates, as those with presettle or settle might just as well work in a bar, which often seems like a more attractive option at that age

EU au pairs can also come on a Tier 5 Youth Mobility visa but it is costly and complicated.

It is going to be VERY much harder to get an au pair now :-(
If anyone has managed to grt an au pair post Brexit I would be really interested to know how you did it.
Many thanks

I need to correct my previous post. EU citizens can't use the youth mobility visa :-(
