Childcare Vouchers - Accor - Are there any issues?

My employer has changed job, and therefore also childcare voucher provider.

Accor is the new voucher provider. Are they easy to deal with, prompt with payment etc. Any issues?

I don't have any problems using them to pay nursery fees, and haven't had any complaints from the nursery either.

nannynick · 07/01/2008 20:22

With luck my employer will be using electronic vouchers, so once all is set up, expect it will run smoothly.

never had any probs with them, goes in within 3 days

ROSEgarden · 07/01/2008 20:25

anyone know about busy bees as well(sorry to hijack nick)

Lawrene8 · 07/01/2008 20:25

Never had any probs with them - my childminder says she gets the cash about2/3 days after I've sent in online.

uptomyeyes · 07/01/2008 20:28

My vouchers are administered by Accor - and we have never had a problem with them. DH's are administered through Busy Bees and he has loads of problems - including the vouchers being taken out before Xmas and the CM still not having been paid. DH is giving the CM a cheque tomorrow and then thrashing it out with Busy Bees - it means we will essentially have paid out two lots of money this month, though we should get it back . Rose garden - you aren't my childminder are you??

jolofee · 07/01/2008 20:29

We have used Accor and Busy Bees and never had any issues with either of them Busy Bees are setting up electronic payments soon too which will make like so much easier.

uptomyeyes · 07/01/2008 20:34

Ours are all electronic - so don't actually see a voucher or indeed have to do anything as it is all on standing order. But Busy Bees sent DH a confirmation email on xmas eve to say the payment had been made and we get a call from CM on 1st Jan to say he still hadn't been paid!

bossybritches · 07/01/2008 20:37

From the nursery point of view we have both vouchers & although it takes a bit of tme to get set up it's very efficient once the system is up.Electronic payments are better as the paper vouchers can be ages getting to you. The few problems we have had have been with the employers releasing the money not the company

Nip · 07/01/2008 20:41

used accor for about a yr now - no probs at all.

shoshe · 07/01/2008 20:45

I am a bout to take Sodexo ones as well, but as they are the ones for the Forces, and done through The JPA system, which has been absolutly crap, I am expecting probs, luckily only one of my parents has taken it up yet (all mine are intitled to it, in most cases from both parents)so hopefully it wont be to bad.

bossybritches · 07/01/2008 20:47

Again, with us, Sodexo were OK once set up, depends on the paying authority I think rather than the voucher company!

ROSEgarden · 08/01/2008 08:20

uptomy eyes ..no i only deal with the dad(parents separated)..and yes, these were supposed to be electronic too, so the quickest supposed method!..still nothing and no reply to my email to them yet???

nannynick · 23/01/2008 20:04

Well just an update.

My employer has her account number... but Accord hasen't sent out my Carer Pack.

So tonight I've filled in the Online Application form... and now have to send off a copy of my reg certificate (at my cost, not a Freepost address). Why they can't have it sent by e-mail is beyond me... last voucher provider happily accepted scaned reg certificate via e-mail.

So I wonder how long this process will take... what are the chances of me getting my full pay amount at end of this month?

nannynick · 30/01/2008 18:58

Still nothing from Accor. E-mailed them last night, sending copy of carer form and registration certificate digitally - and today, no response from them, just an automated message stating my e-mail had been received.

What happens now? My employer wants to pay me but can't issue the childcare voucher payment, without a carer ID to pay it to!

I presume Accor will keep hold of the voucher until the parent is able to release it to a carer, so vouchers will just build up in the parent's account... but technically my employer will be in breach of contract, due to not paying me in full for January.

Are Accor always this bad at processing carer applications?

Still nothing from Accor - e-mailed them again.

Is it just me who has trouble with this? Last voucher provider was so easy to deal with.

Accor have now responded to e-mail. They say my application was processed on 30-Jan and that details are in the post. So that's good to know. Perhaps they should put details on their website regarding how long the process takes, then they won't get unhappy carers emailing them constantly.

Jura - from the sounds of it, you would have paid your nanny in full, not the amount minus the voucher amount. So your nanny would still be getting paid for that month in full.
