What TAX rate / % do nannies pay?

Anyone know?
Looking to figure out how much tax to pay for a nanny as part of a share.
And, is there a different rate for live-in vs. live-out?
Thanks.

Thanks Jura; that helps. How many hours a week do your nannies work? Wondering the per hour in your area. We are near Swiss Cottage NW3.

we pay the same amount of tax as anyone else working in this country, earning an equal amount of money

I saw the message over on nannyshares board, so posted there... but so you don't miss the links Tricey, here they are:

ListenToTaxman - this will work out Tax and Employees NI, from being given Gross salary and taxcode (use the default taxcode, unless HMRC have advised you otherwise).
E-Gismos - this will calculate Employers NI.

I don't think I'm that far from you am I jura? You got your live out for a (comparatively) low rate. I haven't interviewed anyone whose rate was less than £8 an hour net (and I know most people's nannies seem to be between £8-10 net in these parts)!

oh I wasn't meaning to imply you drove her down to that rate, just an observation really .
