Have you had much interest?

I was working New Years Eve, but the family have just cancelled - so looks like I will be doing something different, maybe even going out!

Tan1959 · 27/12/2007 21:08

Hi Nannynick, no I haven't had any interest yet. I will be caring for one of my regular baby mindee's anyway and have space for another which would be ideal. We'll see what happens

Have a lovely New Year's eve whatever you do (would be nice to earn a bit of extra money though wouldn't it?!)

Hiya Tan

How are you?

I've just checked out your normal rates and they seem very normal for where you live. Also, I actually think your overnight care fee is very good indeed (I charge a lot more ).

Hi Looney

I am great thanks. How are you and your bump? Hope you and your family had a lovely Christmas

I am reviewing my overnight charges! When I first set the overnight charges for weeknights, I guess I was thinking in terms of 3-5 nights plus from same family so thought was reasonable but wouldn't be happy to do an overnight for such a low fee now.

I think your charges are reasonable and on par with most people offering overnights that I know.

Are you working tomorrow or do you have the luxury of time off?

Tan, your rates seem reasonable to me. In my area £4.50-£5 per hour, per child is not uncommon for daytime care.

I'm often shocked at how low childcare fees are in some areas... but I suppose it is market forces, supply and demand.

I was doing New Years Eve at my usual hourly rate - £10 per hour, per family - so for once made me cheaper than some of the big agencies.
