DS has been with his really lovely childminder for about a month including settling in period - I bought her some chocs (and can see on other thread that they're not a great choice) and her dd a very little pressie of bath crayons. Was a bit when she gave ds a present. I didn't want to embarass her by going OTT but I feel as if we've been really mean now. It's so tricky

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

DOn't worry - she will be pleased you remembered - write a nice note as well - little gestures mean a lot

I'd be happy to receive that (says she who has been minding for 4 yrs and only ever received two presents in that time)

I got a bottle of wine sent to my Christmas do - & I cried because of what was written on the card

I also got a chocolate sculpture which also made me cry as the mum had made it herself

It really is the thought - I promise you

I got a tin of biscuits yesterday (really gorgeous belgium chocolate ones - not that I have opened them and eaten some already of course ).

It was just really lovely to be remembered and appreciated. I don't think it matters what you buy - it's the thought that counts and what you have got sounds fine

I feel much better now - I've been worrying about it all day. I really do think she's so fab and just wanted to get it right. Thanks

cms do tend to buy Christmas presents for their mindees.

Don't worry, though. I don't think it matters that much waht you get, especially after a month

i got some wonderful relaxing bubble bath off a child today its all sparkaly when you shake the bottle

i always get every mindee a gift (used to spend £10-£15 on each child but this year i got everybody a book and bought some new toys for tehm to play at mine) and i dont expect to get one back, its a thank you for the custom and for being good
