Nanny Xmas bonus cash or bank transfer?

We will give our part time nanny a small gift, card and cash of c. 1 week's pay for Xmas. Normally we pay her monthly by bank transfer. My question is, is it weird/tacky to just put the cash in an envelope? She is part time so it's a decent amount but not a crazy amount of physical cash to have. It's kind of my preference as it seems less awkward than making a thing of saying we are going to transfer her extra. But it still seems a bit awkward. Thoughts on which is better?

Cash in the card 💯

Either is ok, but if you do transfer you can always say "enjoy the extra" in the card.

Honestly - she won’t care; money is money! My nanny gets a cash bonus in a card at Christmas. It’s never been a problem.

Cash is great you can easily get given a bonus and it melt away from your account before you have time to appreciate it.

Cash... As really this sum should be taxed. If you pay via bank there is a paper trail. If you pay by cash, no one need to know.
