Can I childmind my own child?

Not wanting to sound like a CF but I'm considering career change and can't find the answer to my question.

My dd will be eligible for 30 free hours in September. If I am a registered childminder with other children by then can I also pay myself for her?

I feel like it is such a massive loophole it's going to be no but I also can't see any information to say that.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No. I don't think you can. But I don't know where you can find that information officially.

OohImBlindedByTheLights · 15/02/2021 21:04

No as you have to declare what children you have and their position I terms of hours in nursery.

No you can't. I did the introduction to childminding course with my local council and they said no.

Thank you for clarifying that! I didn't expect it to be otherwise to be honest

Sadly no you can not get funding for any child related to you if you childminder, this includes nieces and nephews, grandchildren etc But weirdly if you own and run a nursery you can !

You can reciprocate childcare. For example you officially look after a childminders child and they look after yours.
This often works well if your child struggles with you looking after children in their home
