Needed from 7.30AM to start of school time (8.45AM).
Would childminders start at this time and what would a nanny charge?

I don’t think you’ll find any options for just 1.5 hours per day. Unless you happen to have a very local teen/young person who may be studying simultaneously and wanting to make pocket money.

A nanny it wouldn’t be worth their time and a childminder will only have X amount of places per day so will always want to maximise hours. Good luck though

For what age child?

WrongKindOfFace · 05/02/2021 17:44

Childminders may well do it. I know of a few who do school runs.

Apple40 · 05/02/2021 18:29

If it’s a school age child , childminders who offer school runs will do it. You will probably not find a childminder offer this to a non school age child as it it will stop them having a child who wants all day and drop off before you leave.

Yes many childminders offer breakfast club for school aged children.

fitzbilly · 05/02/2021 18:32

Yes all the childminders round here start at seven am and do the school from. Fairly standard for childminders to do this sort of wrap around care.

Find out if the school runs a breakfast club.
Frazzled2207 · 05/02/2021 18:46

Normal for childminders round here but you need to find one that goes to the dcs school- for obvious reasons they can’t do school runs for more than one school

My DCs went to a childminder at 8am, had breakfast there, she took them to school. And they went to her house after school and had dinner there, I collected them at 6pm. Worked very well for many years.

jannier · 14/02/2021 18:44

Not many school breakfast clubs start that early. A childminder will do this and may include breakfast. What will you need if school is closed such as holiday and training day?
