Jobs after childminding

Hi, after 8 years of childminding , I am looking at changing jobs as it no longer works for my family. My kids are older and resent having the mindees in the house and hide in their rooms while I am working and my husband wants his house back and not have to put up with other peoples kids screaming, having tantrums after a long day at work. What jobs have other ex childminders gone into ? I am not interested in working in a preschool, nursery, being a nanny or in a school as a teaching assistant as none of them pay close to what I earn now. Ideally I want to finish at end of the summer term this year.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Do you have any qualifications?
I know lots of childcare officers and inclusion officers, SEND lead workers at the council, MASH workers are former childminders.

Yes, I have a level 3 teaching assistant qualification, and a level 3 health and social care qualification, plus first aid and safe guarding lead practitioner qualifications

I’d keep an eye on your council job page - those kind of roles seem to pay around £20-25k, so better than nursery/TA but maybe not as much as you make now.

How about NHS? Nursery nurse with the HV team or neonatal, maternity assistant, speech & language assistant, play worker?

I had completely forgotten about this most until it popped up saying someone had commented on it.So quick up date I actually left childminding in April. I got a job with the local council. My family are a lot happier, I love having a reliable income , being paid for my holidays etc, having a pension. I have found the school holidays hard in that I am working and not having fun with my own children.
