I'm new to this group and we live in Preston Brook, Runcorn.

I may have to start a new job soon and I do exclusive breastfeeding for my 5 month old baby. What would be a good option in terms of child care specially in these corona times. My job will be fully remote for the foreseeable future but it would be a demanding role given that I am coming back to work after a 7 month break, I had no maternity leave as I quit my previous job which was a contract position. So I have to give my best to this role as well as be a good mother.

I wish I can stay at home taking care of my baby forever but staying at home is more exhausting as people assume I have a lot of free time but the house work never seems to end with a little one.

Please help me and thank you for reading my long post.

Hi, it really depends on if you plan on still exclusively breast feeding , if yes then you will most likely need to look into a nanny who will come to your home and care for your baby there and you can feed as and when needed. A childminder and nursery will not allow you to turn up to breast feed. If you plan on weaning and getting little one taking a bottle with your milk in then you will have more options like a childminder or nursery.

I used to have a parent come at lunchtime to feed, but I wouldn't be doing it at the moment. Breast milk has been provided for several children I have cared for.
