CM Club: Sickness policy with illnesses and exclusion periods etc on it - anyone??

Apparently my network co-ordinator feels my sickness policy needs to also have details of all infcetious illnesses, when I cannot care for the child when ill with them, symptoms, incubation periods etc in t, which I give to parents and they sign.

I do think this would be good ie parents know I m clued up on illnesses and will not accept an ill child but as ever it means more lovely paperwork! Does anyone have anythng similar they could please share with me?? I would really appreciate it.

I am off this week and tryng to get on top of paperwork, coursework, housework, and so on!

Also when you change/update policies do you hand them all out to parents again? I have been childminding 2yrs and still don't seem to be writing less policies!

Exclusion Policy (Illness)

Any communicable disease will make the child inadmissible without
prior agreement. Diseases include;

Chickenpox: excluded until all spots have scabbed or five days,
whichever is longest.

Conjunctivitis: exclusion policy will apply in certain cases

Diarrhoea and Vomiting: excluded for 24 hours after last bout.

Flu: excluded for 5 days

German Measles: excluded for five days from rash onset.

Hepatitis: For under 5s exclusion will apply for five days.

Impetigo: excluded until lesions are completely crusted/healed

Measles: Five days exclusion from onset.

Meningitis: exclusion may not apply, but Health Authority will be informed

Mumps: exclusion for five days.

Scabies: excluded until treatment has started.

Scarlet Fever: excluded for five days after treatment has started.

This list is not exhaustive, and I must be informed of all illnesses
or accidents, no matter how insignificant. Exclusion may apply at my discretion, and illnesses may be generally discussed with other
parents to decide if exclusion is warranted.
