Childminder help please

I have been lucky to have 2 sets of GPs to help with childcare until recently.

My parents still help once a week, but I am conscious of their age, and feel that next year when both DC are at school, I should look into after school childcare for them.

I would need 1, possibly 2 days a week, set days, of them picking up from school , possibly feeding, and looking after until I get home from work. Happy for it to be in my home (do childminder do that?) Or theirs.

I have no experience with childminder at all, I have only ever used pre school.

Is this the sort of thing a childminder will do?

Also, what would be the going rate for a pair of siblings? I'm in Norfolk.

Or, are there other options I'm missing. There's no breakfast or after school club available

Hi a nanny will pick them up and take back to your home and feed etc a childminder would collect and take back to hers. Some childminders offer meals, some don’t there is no norm. There is usually a set charge Per day for morning spaces around £10 and set charge for evenings around £20 per child. Finding a space for two children maybe your biggest challenge. School drop off and collection spaces are usually filled within weeks of the school allocation days in March/ April

Thank you. I don't hold out much hope to be honest, it's a rural area, with a very small school.

A childminder charge will vary according to s very local area your best to find local childminders and ask them ....your local council or childcare.co.uk are good starting points. In my area of London it would be between £10 and £15 a day per child but you could use tax free childcare saving 20%

Hi. First time upcoming mum at 41 years old. Was told I couldn't have children so this is a huge and welcome surprise! I'm at a loss as to how to pay for childcare though. We both work but himself doesn't earn enough to support all of us on his own. I am only going to be getting SMP so will need to go back to work after the 9 months or so. We live far away from family so my question is what can we do? Do child minders watch 7 month olds? Can I get help with paying for childcare? (As far as I can see that's a no due to us both working ) why do people who don't work get help with childcare when it's woman that do work that need the help more? I'm so confused and stressed about all this. Any advice is welcome.

I work as a nanny two evenings a week for a family. I collect from school, take back to their home and play/cook a meal and do bathtime until 7pm. Do some laundry if any needs putting g away etc.
We are very rural and I found the job on a site called childcare.co.uk. lots of jobs and nannies on there.
I charge £12 an hour and there are three children.
