Coronavirus - can we look after colleagues' children?

Hi I work for an NHS Trust.
We're planning for the staff shortages and sick leave.
Childcare is a worry though if the schools close.
Would it be legal for us to find a suitable place in the Trust to have a group of children play, being supervised by some staff, so that the rest could be working in the hospital so we could keep things like critical care open?
If anyone has any knowledge or experience of this I'd be very grateful Smile

You'd need to speak to the PHE helpline. They surely should have I plan for this (yeah, right). I know in Poland children of healthcare professionals still go into schools and it's similar in Germany.

Leatherhead Childcare for key workers on farm for small no of children ( maybe 6?), in boarding arrangement so children can be safe from virus.
Want to research if there is need/ demand for this.
I live in a barn, am a grandmother of 60, with daughter 26, her boyfriend 30. We are considering inviting key workers children to stay with us, during day and night ie full time. No physical contact with outsiders incl parents. So contact from parents only from a distance when they wish to visit. Parents to provide food, bedding, toys, and cover direct expenses of the group etc but likely child no care fees charged.
We are not CIPD qualified. Just genuine people trying to help.
Please can you input on if there is demand for this in Leatherhead area. Any thoughts invited. This idea is only an idea at the moment.

No sorry this is not allowed , guidance states if they are a key worker then they can go to school or registered childcare setting offering the care but only when you are on shifts . If you , your other are at home they have to be cared for there.
