My two boys have been going to their childminder since August this year, DS1 before and after school and DS 2 full days due to age. I cannot stress enough how amazing this woman is with my kids (and all of the children she minds!), in the short amount of time my kids have been with her she’s really gone well beyond what I’d have expected of a childminder. Took DS1’s ASD diagnosis in her stride, given me a lot of reassurance and advice about DS2 and is just really all round amazing with them.

However due to the short amount of time they’ve been with her I don’t feel I know her well enough to get a thoughtful enough gift for her so really would appreciate any ideas?

Her own children are all grown, she loves animals and has pets, unsure if she drinks alcohol or not, from what I know she’s a pretty brilliant cook/baker. Been wracking my brains trying to think of anything else I know but drawing a complete blank. Really don’t want to get a bog standard tin of chocolates/flowers etc. I’m a student without a job atm so budget is possibly £20-30.

Any ideas would be massively appreciated, thanks!

Would she perhaps appreciate a voucher for a local beauty salon?
I used to get my childminder vouchers or experienced (groupon) that she could treat herself with.

Big standard Choc and flowers is lovely

And a card saying you appreciate her

Chocolates/flowers/nice biscuits are fine if you don’t know her well. A voucher for costa or somewhere like next or marks and Spencer’s so she can buy something nice for herself.

Vouchers, hand creams, warm gloves, nothing child related.
