30 Hours Free Childcare - Do you use them all if you dont work full time?

DD will be eligible for 30 free childcare hours per week in August (Scotland) she will be age 4.
I work 3 days a week.
I'm not sure whether I should be using the full time childcare hours just because they are free? But keeping her off nursery for the other two days, if all the other kids are in, doesn't seem right either.
If you are in a similar position, what do you do? / what are you planning to do?
It's a school nursery btw if that helps.

I keep him off the two days a week I don't work but I know people who put them in. Maybe compromise with mornings when you are off work but have afternoons of those days for fun?

Can you not use your 30 hours on the 3 days you work?

If it’s a school nursery then it’s probably only 9-3pm

I use my 30 hours over 3 days (although the nursery we use is all year round so we still get charged for the holidays). Our preschool is part of a private nursery and not a school though so the hours are 8-6.

Yip school nursery so just 9-3pm

If it was me, I'd have a look around other nurseries to keep my options open :)
If you send her 9-3 what will you do for wrap around? If you do go for that one, then I think I'd do 4 days so you can use that day to get stuff done / have some time to yourself.

Why don’t you use a nursery that will annualise the childcare so you can send her three days a week and don’t need to worry the holidays.

Can you do stretched funding....works out at about 22 hours a week over 51 weeks rather than 30 over 38 weeks?
