Triple buggy or can I modify my double?

I have a mothercare urban detour twin/double that I LOVE and would hate to give up. However, I need to transport 3... any ideas on modifying the urban detour?

Or what's the best triple? Is the Lots of babies one very hard to manouver?

Hi crace, bodwen had an urban detour double buggy that she had adapted to a triple for sale on ebay not to long ago. I think she said that she strapped an emmaljunga(sp?) pram seat to the front using cable ties and it worked really well. Maybe you could try and contact her for more info?

Oh yeah, wonder if she would be willing to sell her secret thanks for the reminder

Hi
I had the same dilemma, I have an easylife sport double buggy and needed to transport another toddler (who hated the buggy board I bought) So I have just got a 'strolli rider' which clips on the side of the buggy and looks like a little bicycle, mindee loves it, and as they are sitting by the side of you doesn't get in the way either! only any good if your 'extra child' is approx 15 months plus tho'

Ooooh that looks good. The urban detour is already mahoosively wide, does this make it too wide to fit on our already tiny village pavements?

the Lots of babies one is just like pushing a side by side double just a bit wider.

trunkybun · 08/08/2007 09:12

just had a look at it and I suppose it sticks out about a further 4-5 inches!! makes you look like something out of Mad Max coming down the road!!! just need to get some knives to go on the spokes

dmo · 08/08/2007 09:13

i have the lots of babies pram which turns from a triple to a double its fab

crace · 08/08/2007 09:24

LOL at the knives - I am sure, but I can totally see my daughter loving riding on that. There would be fights for it, no doubt.

Is the Lots of babies one easy to push, even with heavier babies? I have a 15 mo, 20 mo, and a 4 month old or 2 year old depending on the day..

Oh, and is it too wide for the pavements?

fits on pavement fine
i would put eldest in the middle to balance it out

I've been sold on those for a while, it's finding a used one that's the issue!

Hi Ladies, I am still around, though no longer minding. More than happy to share my secret though! Before the Emmaljunga seat (in fact on my previous Urban Detour) I had a baby swing seat strapped on the front. It was one of those really basic moulded one piece seats. I am sure there are lots of suitable seats around, and with the use of a few strong cable ties and a set of reins for straps, off you go with 3 aboard! Feel free to ask any questions.

I've used a kiddy board on an urban detour with no problems at all.

Dont know if it helps but the lots of babies double/triple is about #200 cheaper on preciouslittleone site than everywhere else I have looked, still not cheap but a good saving!

Oh i know this is an old thread but i have one of these and they are not bad at all to push-also have a combo with P&T with buggy pod, but my dream would be a new peg perego inline triple. Yes the cheapest i have seen these for now is £339 Grrrrr at paying more! If anyone is genuinely interested in my lotsofbabies triple/double email me at [email protected]
