Holiday clubs

Those of you that use camps and clubs for childcare in the school holidays - how much do you budget for these? Do the costs vary a lot depending on the activity/child's age? I'm a first timer, so any insights and tips greatly appreciated!

I use them for approx 3 weeks of the summer hols. 2 kids, approx £30 per day (£22.50 for the club, usually £5 for an extra activity like archery, and packed lunch.)
I probably spend around £700 (I work 4 days).
It allows me and my husband to have time off together rather than trying to split it all and ending up with only a week together. I know also manage to save a couple of days leave for myself, to go and do something on my own, which is important.

This particular club is a sports / outdoor activity based club, and the kids absolutely love it.

I think it depends where you live but in the south west the price can vary lots. Shine do sporty holiday clubs for £25 a day, more for the extended hours, which is a bargain. Then there are more specialised ones that are £40 for a day.

Mine have done a couple of different clubs, one is a sports based club - only runs 10am-3pm, takes children from age 3 and costs £20.
The other is a council run holiday club, takes children from Year 1, runs 8.30am-5pm and costs £25.

Varies a lot but from £20-30 per day for the normal ones, there's specialist ones which are 2-3 x that of course.

We pay £26 / day for 8-5 (£3 extra until 6pm) and a packed lunch. Activities vary from free - park & museums to about £20 for theme parks & coach hire

We live in what is classed as a deprived area, therefore the price varies hugely. There is one holiday club that is free for certain postcodes but you can only book it online and it tends to get booked by the people in those postcodes who could actually afford to pay. There is another one that is subsidised so only £2 a day with lunch included but that has the same problem. My kids go to a multi sport one at £10 each per day and a sport specific one run by county coaches that is £30 a day but they only go there for a few days as it is very intense.
