Hi, I have recently registered and only have a small first aid kit at the moment. I am having trouble finding a suitable one for home. Where did you get yours from?
Many thanks.

I bought a H&S exectutive one for 10 people

But that was about £20

I'm sure there are cheaper ones out there

You don't have to have to buy a special kit - on our first aid course we were advised against it cos they often include things you won't use. She said you could use any container and buy what you needed separately, which would probably be better value.

But don't use a biscuit/sweet tin or anything that might fool people into not realising it is a first aid box. It should have a label on it so it can easily be identified as a first aid box - it might be you who needs treatment and a visitor/parent looking for the box. You can buy or print your own green labels with white crosses - you need the symbol on it so visitors with reading difficulties/not knowing much english can find it. Self Adhesive Labels

Small lunchboxes or pencil cases are fine for travel kits/for your car. Tesco do a clear shoe box size box for £1.99 which would do for your home kit.

I bought one from St Johns Ambulance (online) as they do lots of combinations and you can buy extras to put in it from them to make it just right for you.
You probably can make one up cheaper but to be honest I thought this one was quite good value and I didn't have the time to look around for all of the bits and pieces cos my initial inspection was looming and I still had lots to do.

Thank you. You have been a great help, now I know where to buy one. That sounds easier than putting my own one together.
