Nanny-Housekeeper - does this sound reasonable?

We have had a nanny-housekeeper to help with before/after school care plus laundry for a few years now. She's moving overseas so we need to find a replacement.

The laundry/ironing was done while DCs were at school. Now the DCs are 10 and 8, so don't need as much "hands on" childcare as they used to.

Does this sound reasonable?

Before School (2hrs) - make DCs breakfast, get bags/packed lunch ready, make beds, put washing on.

After School (3hrs) - make DCs tea, laundry/ironing for 45mins, supervising homework etc, tidying up kitchen after use.

Or am I expecting too much with laundry/ironing?

Views appreciated! Thanks.

From experience, it depends on the person. Some get annoyed they are supposed to he doing something simple like turning onnthexwadhing machine whilst also "supervising" children. You need to be very specific about this. My previous housekeeper believed it was impossible to do two such things simultaneously and got very stroppy. It just didn't work. She wasn't even having to do anything as complicated as homework supervision.
The person is what counts and making absolutely sure they know exactly what you expect.

Hi - yes, we've found someone and all seems to be working well so far.

The hours suit her and she's happy to help out with laundry while the kids are doing homework/watching tv.

Due to our working patterns, she does get around 5 extra hours per week on an ad-hoc basis plus occasional babysitting, so I think that helped to make the role more attractive.
