Paying for Bank holidays

my daughter attends a childminder setting one day a week which happens to be a Monday, term time only. I’m more than happy to pay for the bank holidays during term time that fall on her day but am I right in thinking I shouldn’t have to pay for bank holidays that fall during school holidays as she wouldn’t be attending during that week anyway?. The upcoming May 27th bank holiday falls during half term here so my daughter wouldn’t be going if it was a normal day. Just want to know opinions first before I bring this up with her childminder. I don’t want to look naive if this is actually something I’m going to have to pay for!.

All payment details should be outlined in your contract.

If your contracts states term-time only then you will not be liable go pay for any bank holidays that fall during school holidays.

This comes up time and time again. You must abide by your contract so if contract states you must pay for bank holidays then that's what you do. If it doesn't then you have a case to argue that you don't.

Term time only contract you should not be paying for bank holidays that fall in half term

If your contract states term time only then I wouldn't think you would pay for a bank holiday that falls during school holidays.
