Would a childminder not be any use? Im a childminder in Cardiff and there are a few of us on here!
Just thought that might be another idea if you couldnt find a nanny

HBG, do you need someone who can take your 4 year old to and from nursery? To be honest, that will limit the range of childminders you have to choose from because in my experience they tend to be affiliated to particular schemes.

MyKidz, feel free to contradict that - we're hopefully looking for a new one in September (moving house) and there doesn't seem to be many that cover my son's future school.

Yeah thats what I do!Each childminder provide different services. Some just before and after school and some just full timers. I personally am only looking to childmind part time. What area are you looking for?? Im not 100% sure but I think childminders are cheaper than nanny's. Im moving to Fairwater in 4weeks time. But I know there are other childminders on here in Cardiff in different areas!

I meant affiliated to particular schools.

ie, they do drop off and collect from them.

My son is also 4 and I was putting him in Fairwater Primary and he finishes at 3.30. What time does Llandaff finish? Do they have an after school club? I could do the 12.30 pick up? What day were you looking for? Do you mind me asking do you go to Church? Only I'd love my son to be able to go to Llandaf school but we are not regular church attenders? We are moving to the new houses being built just off western ave in a town house!

I found my nanny in Cardiff via nannyselect or nannyjob, I forget which - you'd be best advertising as a nanny share - mine works for me 3/4 days a week and 1/2 days a week for my friend. Are your kids in CSL? hbg?
A childminder is probably the best way to go unless you can organise a nanny share amongst friends.

Oh right you mean Howells? I was asuming you meant the church of wales school sorry! There are many options available. Try advertising for a part time nanny or ring the Childrens Information Service to obtain a list of local Childminders.

Hi
I'm a reg childminder in your area but having a baby in Aug so not planning anything too much for Sept yet.
There are several CM's advertising spaces on Netmums...not sure if we are allowed to mention other sites but it might help you.
Otherwise Children Information services is 029 20520100
Hope you are lucky.
I would do a one dayer if it fitted in with my other commitments.
As a guide i charge £4 per hour, most of the other CM's I know charge the same or thereabouts.
TTFN
Frankie
