I have decided to try and get overnight care added to my certificate. I have applied in writing to Ofsted and now I have an inspector coming to see me on monday. She is the original inspector I had and she has said there will not be a problem, but I have to do a policy for overnight care. Where do I start?
All ideas and help appreciated

Where is the child going to sleep?
Where are they getting undressed?
Who is allowed in their bedroon or the bathroom while they are using it?
Where will their bedding be kept?
Where will their toothbrush/flannel be kept?
How will you hear them in the night?
What you will wear to bed(???maybe???)
What time is tea/bedtime/bathtime/breakfast?
Can they dget down the stairs?

Umm - to start off with?

and

  • communication/discussion with parents
  • fire exits/emergency procedure
  • procedure when you go to bed - ensuring doors locked, appliances switched off, checking child etc

Had inspection this morning following the variation letter I sent in, Ofsted Inspector is recommending I am allowed to care for 2 children overnight. She thought my policy was fantastic and asked if she can show her collegue a copy
Thank you to Katymac & ayla99 for your help
