Help! Ofsted inspection

Hi, I have been a live out nanny for nearly 2 years now and I got a phone call of ofsted for a random check. What do I need to provide? The children I look after are 9 and 10 years old. I am really worried about how it’s going to go! I previously worked in a nursery for 3 years however I was never asked questions by them when they came to visit, is it the same as the visits to schools? Thanks

It's 20-30 minutes. They will ask to see your certificates to check you meet registration criteria:
Enhanced DBS
Nanny liability insurance
First Aid (suitable for the age range)
Level2 or above childcare training, or Common Core.

They will ask some questions regarding safeguarding children, what they ask varies. Prevent Duty is quite a hot topic - given ages of children that could well come up as a question about how you monitor their internet usage.

Thankyou for answering some questions for me, the woman said that I would receive a letter through the door for parents to sign to let them in the house however we have not received the letter. I have informed her that we haven’t received one. What will happen now?

They can arrange to do the inspection somewhere else. I had mine at my own home.
