I'm thinking of doing this - but do you need to be childminding for a certain number of hours first - at present i only do 8 hours a week. Anyone know?

No worries I am really enjoying the course aswell half way through second unit and will continue till the end good luck if you decide to go for it

i don't think you even need to be working at the time of studying. i am doing unit 4 at the moment and enjoying it!

I've just signed up to do it via Distance Learning - I don't think there are any FORMAL requirements re: working. It's a good idea as they ask you to reflect on practise but it may be the college or organisation offering it that's set the rule.

Check out the CACHE website, or the NEC website (I'm doing mine through NEC)
