bonkerz · 23/05/2007 13:14

if you got the beers going can i have a tall glass with ice and baileys please?

fifilou · 23/05/2007 13:19

actually before i go, any advice? i volunteer at both b1 and b2 school, and this wk have done mon morning and eve (school concert), this morning, and am due to help tomo morning too. Not many of the other parents volunteer and Im wondering if its because they know if they dont put their name on the list the teachers will ask me to.

now I know its my job to work with the boys, but my boss thinks they are taking the mickey a bit because i wont say no!

On Friday they need lap counters for a sponsored wheelei day and no one (again) has volunteered, so they asked me (again), thing is, I know Ive done all of my jobs here, and i know my course work is now finished too, but I think it would be nice for some other mums to put in a little>

What do you think?

ScottishThistle · 23/05/2007 13:19

Fifilou thanks for your thoughts, sadly I appear to suffer the same kind of insomnia as you.

I don't have a problem getting to sleep just staying asleep!...Ihave weeks of ok'ish sleep then weeks of sleeping 3/4hrs, have tried all sorts...Took one of those herbal remedies once & woke feeling like I was on drugs- never again!

Luckily I function not too badly on very little sleep but it messes with my social life on the weekend!

ScottishThistle · 23/05/2007 13:20

I could do with a beer, thank you very muchly!

ScottishThistle · 23/05/2007 13:22

fifilou...I'd say no this time, say youve got something you have to do...Let the lazy lot pull their weight for once!

fifilou · 23/05/2007 13:25

I thought about that but I'm sooo crap at lying!!!

one of the mums did actually say to me once, they thought it was great I helped out so much, they wish they could but they were soooooo busy with housey things!!!

who do they think does the washing/ironing/tidying/sorting/everything in this house?!

i bet I say no today, then feel so guilty when no ones put their name down tomo that I cave in.

note to self- be stronger!!!!

dmo · 23/05/2007 13:26

Oh if only my 'picnic' tea this afternoon included a baileys ice cream sundae I wouldn't be able to contain my excitement!

crace · 23/05/2007 13:34

Ice cream sundae, yes please! Whipped cream, bananas, sprinkles and a cherry please!!

ScottishThistle · 23/05/2007 13:34

fifi, well done!...Lots of housey things to do remember!

dmo · 23/05/2007 14:29

you may or may not know all the trouble i have had resently from a mother who took her son out of my care for not giving her adequate notice when i was ill (the day before)she then accused me of hurting the little ones in my care and said she had spoken to ofsted who assured her she didnt have to pay me notice due to the circumstances and that i should write her a letter to explain all.
well i phoned ofsted today as i was sure i should have been contacted by now (2 weeks) and they have said no phone call has been made to them and all phone calls are recored so it would have shown up on the system.
the b**ch
so i am now writting to my solictor and have forwarded all my texts to my e-mail and printed them up
all this for 2 weeks pay was not bothered at first but now its war

ScottishThistle · 23/05/2007 14:30

Well done you, don't let her off with that!

crace · 23/05/2007 14:36

What a cow! Go and get her, all that worry you had! Oh, bless you - that is so awful of her

fifilou · 23/05/2007 14:39

mo- am back from my sandwich-in-the-sun break............... kick her sorry ass girl!

what a horrid woman!

fifilou · 23/05/2007 14:41

oops, sorry i didnt know the window was open!

(hands to face as she realises the staff room door has just slammed as she left to go on the school run!)

see you later!

crace · 23/05/2007 15:39

Just ate a magnum ice cream and feel monstrously sick. So much for the diet..

MaureenMLove · 23/05/2007 17:39

DMO - didn't Ofsted suggest you write to her on Monday or have a missed a whole chunk of this!!!

Shoshable · 23/05/2007 18:21

DMo is this the one you had concerns about the care he was getting a t home love?

Hi by the way, been busy with new interview today, and said they have till Sept to actually sign the contracts as not wanting place till january 08, but they have said the def want the place.

And as I only have 1 child this week been doing lots with her, so had planned a busy art day tomorrow when mum came to pick up and said child would not be in till lunch time can pack everything for hols without a rush

the mother said ofsted said i should write a letter to help but she was purly making it up as ofsted have never recieved a letter from her.
NCMA phoned yesterday and said to write a letter to the mother stateing the facts and answering her concerns.
yes it is the same child who i have concerns about at home and who i phoned ss about months ago
