Childminder or Nursery?

My daughter (19 mos) has been in nursery for ) months and it’s been fine. She’s well adjusted and loves the place. Only thing I’d say is kept picking bugs and falling ill like every 2 weeks.
I’m changing jobs. New role starts on the 14th of this month and I have to find her somewhere else. Thinking of going for a childminder this time.
Not to say one is better than he other but what are the pros Of childminder as opposed to nurseries? Plus are he chances of catching a big less with the childminders? I’ve got just this week and the next.
I’m conscious about doing what’s right for her not what is right for me. Please any input would be greatly appreciated xxx

Probably slightly less chance of bugs, pros are likely to be more focused on your child rather than having lots of children and multiple care givers, child may feel more settled if they prefer and quieter one to one environment. Time wise its often a bit more flexible.

The down sides are if the child doesn't bond with the childminder they don't have any other options, if they don't get on with a child there then there's not likely to be many other options to play with.
Some may have less of a range of activities as there's no one 'monitoring' what they do each day like nursery staff have. Doesn't adjust them to school as well as they get to preschool age.

They're both good options, some childminders will do school runs too so once shes preschool age and settled with the childminder you could look at maybe 2 preschool sessions a week (9-3 usually) and the rest with a childminder to help her get ready for school.

I'm loathe to use CM's as it's only one person, if they call in sick you are left looking for alternative childcare whilst also having to pay them too!

I got messed around no end by my DS's CM, so I changed to a nursery. Bar BH and the snow, he hasn't been let down once.
