Hello! I am new to this forum and just wanted to get some advice. I pick up 2 children after school at 3pm and look after them until 6.30-7ish. I have been doing this for a couple of months and it really worked for me whilst I was doing my masters. Both the children and parents are lovely- never been a problem with pay and the children are quite laidback and easy going. I really enjoy the job. I am meant to be working for the family until the end of July- however due to changes in my circumstances I have had to suspend my university studies until September. Which means I now need to look for a full time job. I feel so bad because I know how busy the family are and I did say I can commit my time until July. It’s a very casual situation so I technically don’t have to give notice in. But I was thinking if I gave 3-4 weeks that may be OK? Any opinions of suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I think that's fine even with a proper registered carer they would typically get 4 weeks sometimes less. You have to look after your finances first
