Hi,
We are looking for someone twice a week to help with the kids and some very light house chores.
Where/how can I found someone?

Thanks

Childcare.co.uk or local forum or local Facebook page are normally good sources.

What kind of house chores? A mother’s help should still only be doing child related chores, kids laundry, kids cooking. Keeping kids areas clean and tidy.

A mother’s help is usually a newly qualified nanny who is looking for the first job in their cv

I'm looking for some help on Monday 14th May - Friday 18th May as follows: I have two young sons aged 4 and 8 and my older daughter is 19. I have to go away for work this week and my daughter has said that it is too much for her to look after the boys on her own.
Therefore I am looking for someone that could collect boys from school/nursery on the Monday then take home play/make tea/get in pjs and then put to bed about 8 - 8.30 then due my daughter being there you could either go home or stay over. However I then need you to be back at my house and get boys up and dressed and breakfast and take to school/nursery and then collect each day around 5.30 from school nursery and the same each day I would be back Friday pm. Not sure how much this would be but am paying cash. Please any ideas of where I could find this person get back to me. Thanks
I live in Leamington Spa.

cmarie - after school nannies are very difficult to find, never mind ones who will work for 2,5 hours and come in the morning as well. I'd speak to a couple of local agencies who may have someone who is between jobs.
Otherwise - I'd get your daughter to do the morning run and then see if any of the staff at the school nursery would bring them home and do the tea/pjs/play. I'd offer £10/hour.
Alternatively you could just offer your daughter more money to do it, maybe arranging a few playdates after school so that the children are fed before she collects them would make it easier.

Many of the people you find do this are your daughters age or near about. Why is it too much are they difficult? As its only for one week I think you may struggle. Have you offered your daughter the pay you would give to someone?
